Strokes usually take the lives of about 800,000 Americans per year. A stroke is when blood is blocked from flowing into the brain. Even though they can be fatal, some people have survived having a few.

Stroke Symptoms

The symptoms of having a stroke are usually the same symptoms one would obtain when having a heart attack. A person could have trouble with walking and could be feeling dizzy. In some cases, they may suddenly fall from the extreme dizziness that they may suffer. They also may have trouble with talking as their speech would be slurred. An abrupt loss of vision or just a dimness in an eye is another symptom.

Over time, the symptoms could get worse. To prevent from having a stroke, one should take a look into their diet. Eating a nutritious meal could actually help from preventing a blood clot from forming. Exercise is another great thing to look into if you’re trying o prevent from getting a stroke. Yoga is a great exercise because it helps to meditate the mind and relieve stress.

Treatment

Doctors usually want patients to come in when they first start experiencing some of the symptoms because most of the medications and tests that they provide has to be taken and given while experiencing the symptom. If you drive and have been experiencing most of the symptoms of a stroke, then it’s best to find a trusted person to take you places until the doctor allows for you to drive again. You don’t want to be driving and then experience a sudden loss of vision as that could create a dangerous accident.
